Rainbow Circle of Friends & Family is a welcoming social club for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, their friends, families, and allies. We celebrate the value of belonging and create opportunities for people to connect through friendship, shared experiences, and inclusive community activities.
In the Beginning…
Our story began in 1999 with informal monthly potlucks. These friendly gatherings brought together members of the LGBTQIA+ community, along with supportive friends and family, in a warm and welcoming setting.
As participation grew, the small social visits gradually developed into larger gatherings and community events.
Becoming an Official Club
In December 2006, dedicated volunteers worked together to establish formal club status. They created a charter defining the organization’s name, leadership roles, structure, and governance.
Following approval by the Sun City Board, Rainbow Circle of Friends & Family was officially formed.
Our Purpose Today
Today, Rainbow Circle continues to provide a safe, respectful, and joyful place where members can form friendships, participate in social activities, support one another, and celebrate the diversity that strengthens our community.
